Information we handle

You may provide your name, company, email address, optional phone number, service requirements and project details when you contact us. We receive the information you choose to send in an email, WhatsApp message or call.

Visiting the website also involves technical information such as your IP address, requested pages, browser or device information and request times. Our hosting provider may process this information to deliver the site, maintain security and diagnose problems.

Enquiries are voluntary. The email form requires a name, email address and project details to prepare a useful message; company and phone details are optional. Without sufficient contact or project information, we may be unable to respond or arrange work. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.

03

How your enquiry works

The enquiry form and project assistant prepare a draft in your email application. They do not automatically send your message to Fedpump. You review and send the email yourself.

Before you open the draft, entries are held in the current webpage. The website does not upload these entries to a database or store them in cookies or browser storage. The project assistant uses a guided sequence of questions; it does not send your answers to an AI service.

If you choose “Copy enquiry”, the text is placed on your device’s clipboard. Your browser or email application may independently retain autofill information or drafts according to your settings. Once you send an email or WhatsApp message, it is handled by those services and received by our team.

04

How we use information

We use enquiry information to reply to you, understand your requirements, prepare quotations and arrange requested work. We also use relevant records to manage that work, resolve queries and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations.

We do not use website enquiries for marketing or share them with other businesses for marketing. Using the enquiry form does not subscribe you to a mailing list. Processing is limited to the purpose of your enquiry, requested services and relevant legal or legitimate operational needs.

05

Service providers & processing locations

Our website is hosted by Vercel. Emails sent to our published address are handled through Yahoo Mail. If you choose WhatsApp, your messages are handled by WhatsApp. These services process information to host the website or deliver communications under their own terms and privacy policies.

Providers may process information outside South Africa. Any transfer for which Fedpump is responsible must meet applicable requirements under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Provider information: Vercel privacy policy, Yahoo privacy policy and WhatsApp privacy policy.

06

Cookies & external links

The website’s own code does not set cookies or use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts. Fonts, images and the workshop video are served with the website. Hosting and security services may process technical request information as described above.

Google Maps and WhatsApp links open external services when you choose them. Their privacy and cookie policies apply when you visit them. Your browser controls allow you to manage cookies and stored website data.

07

Retention & security

We keep enquiry and service records only for as long as needed to respond, carry out agreed work, meet applicable legal requirements or resolve disputes. The appropriate period depends on the record and purpose. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion, subject to any lawful reason to retain it.

The website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit to the site. No internet or email service can guarantee complete security. Please contact us promptly if you believe information you sent us has been accessed or used improperly.

08

Your privacy rights

Subject to POPIA and applicable exceptions, you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access, request correction or deletion, or object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.

Send requests to Sonia.dacunha@yahoo.com and describe the information or enquiry concerned.

You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za. Visit the Information Regulator’s contact page for current contact details and complaint guidance.
